Jonathan Still, M.D. is a native of California, but is proud to call Las Vegas his home. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Claremont McKenna College in 2001, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. Dr. Still graduated in 2005 from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, and then completed an internship and residency in General Psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2009.
During residency, he trained under nationally-recognized experts in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry and psychology. He received extensive training in multiple forms of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). In addition, he completed a course in couples psychotherapy at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. Dr. Still also attained certification in medical acupuncture through the Helms Medical Institute, the largest acupuncture training program for physicians in the U.S. Dr. Still has been in private practice in the Las Vegas Valley since 2009.
Dr. Still’s special interests include the integration of multiple treatment modalities to treat difficult conditions. He values the combination of psychotherapeutic techniques with medication management, and, for interested patients, is skilled in the evidence-based practice of complementary and alternative treatment for a variety of disorders. He also has been able to develop useful combination strategies for the treatment of mind-body disorders, such as fibromyalgia, functional GI syndromes, skin picking, and trichotillomania. Dr. Still enjoys working with adolescents, as well as their families.
Dr. Still is actively involved in the local Las Vegas mental health community and values collaboration with other physicians, therapists, and school staff in the care of his patients. As such, he has fostered good relationships with many primary care physicians, pediatricians, neurologists and other specialists, as well as therapists to ensure that his patients receive well-rounded care. Dr. Still contributes to teaching and mentoring future physicians. He is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Touro University School of Medicine, where he teaches medical students. He was appointed a director of the combined course in Neurology and Psychiatry at the new UNLV School of Medicine, where he developed the mental health curriculum for the school. Dr. Still is married to Meredith, a native of Las Vegas, and they are proud parents to their young daughter, Julianne.
